Exploring the Real Estate World with João Vianna: The Journey of Invisto and the Challenges of the Real Estate Market in the USA
In the last week, we spoke with João Vianna, co-founder of Loft. João is also the founder of Invisto, a residential real estate development platform in the United States, which recently became an investment of Osher Equity.
Vianna applies all his experience in the real estate market at Invisto, gained during his journey at Loft, a proptech that achieved unicorn status in just a few years of operation, thanks to the million-dollar investment rounds it received. The title is given only to companies that reach a valuation of 1 billion reais in the market.
At Invisto, the proposal is to employ technology and data usage to find old properties in the best neighborhoods of certain American cities, develop and construct new residences, and sell them in the market.
"There are talented people in Brazil capable of competing with the best players in the world. And how to enter the most competitive market in the world with many talents and available capital and find something that no one does in a structured way? We talked to funds and developers to understand why they don't operate in this segment. And the answer was that we would love to operate, but we don't have the capacity to invest fractionally in various assets. Structured operation in fractional assets is very difficult to find in the U.S. The market is so large that it has space for many people," commented Vianna.
In the coming weeks, we will share more details about this rich conversation and the entire journey of João Vianna, exploring not only the business thesis of Invisto but also interesting data about the real estate market in the United States. Stay tuned!
